A Downtown Durham native, Mavis Carroll studied at Durham School of the Arts and envisioned becoming a tattooer from a young age. Drawing from a background in cosmetology and management, she brings a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a people-focused approach to her craft.

Mavis found her home at Twin Suns Tattoo, where she apprenticed under Jack Cody and continued developing her skills through dedication and hands-on experience. Outside the studio, she enjoys painting whenever she can and is always looking for ways to infuse her personality and creativity into her designs.

She primarily tattoos in an American Traditional style and is excited to collaborate with clients to bring their next tattoo idea to life.
